Our next stop was the Jordan River Temple. It was only 4 miles away from Oquirrh Mountain! It is crazy to me that the temples in Utah can be so close together. Deborah and I got to go inside this one together and we were both surprised to see escalators inside! I have seen many temples with elevators but I have never seen one with an escalator. We also both thought that the decor inside seemed to be reminiscent of the 70's and when I got home I looked it up and it was dedicated in 1981.....so we were right!
