Youth Conference 2011
This is the third year that we have done Youth Conference with our stake and it never disappoints! We had amazing girls again this year and had a lot of fun. Our stake decided to do Book of Mormon trek where the girls had to hike a 12 MILE HIKE!! (Being pregnant, I didn't even try to go on the hike!) It was difficult but they liked it a lot because all along the way they had visits from Book of Mormon characters. The best visit took place the next morning (we camped out) right at sunrise where an actor portrayed Jesus coming to the Americas. It was really amazing to see and something we will all remember. We love doing Youth Conference and hope to continue every year!

St. George Trip
In April, we took a family vacation to St. George to visit one of Jacob's good friends and previous mission companion, Jacob Prince and his wife Jessica. We had so much fun! Here are a few pictures of things we did while we were there.
Right by the temple is a really cool area that the locals call the splash pad. We would sit and eat lunch there everyday and then the girls got to run around and play in the cool water area. They had little streams that they could run and and rocks to play on. It was free and so much fun!!

We also got to visit the St. George temple. We have a goal in mind to try and take pictures in front of as many temples as we can!
We also got to go and visit Zion National Park. Since I was pregnant, and Maddie had a fever, we couldn't do a lot of hiking but we did get to do one hike to the Emerald Pools. Its a beautiful hike that ends at the Emerald Pools and a waterfall. It was going great until the winds changed and soaked all of us!

This is the home that Brigham Young stayed in during the winter months. It was really cool to see where he used to live and everything that was in his house!
We also got to visit a dinosaur museum where they pretty much just enclosed a piece of the mountain that had dinosaur tracks in it. It was fascinating to see all of the different tracks that were there. I was hoping the girls would like it more but it was me that got the most excited!
