Christmas Day 2011!
This year for Christmas was a little different because we had to wait until 8:30 am for daddy to come home from work. So Grandma Bock spent the night and helped keep the girls upstairs so they wouldn't see the presents until daddy got home. They were excited to see the presents but they were even MORE excited to see the cookies that Santa had eaten. (It was so funny to watch their faces when they saw the cookies!) We had a great time opening presents and the girls loved everything they got. But the highlight of the day was when Maddie opened her final gift. For our family, the final gift is a special one that we think you will love the most. We got Maddie a little music player that you can download songs on and listen to.....like a cool MP3 player for kids. I had already downloaded her favorite songs on it and then put it back in the package so she was able to listen to it right away. We videotaped it and she was so excited that she just stared at it and started singing. We panned the video camera over to Emma to open her cool gift of the Leappad Explorer tablet (so cool by the way!) and stayed there for a few minutes while she opened it. Then, we panned back over to Maddie who was STILL staring at it and singing in her own little world. So funny! We kept the camera on her for a good couple of minutes and listened to her singing without ever realizing that we were all staring at her. It was SOOOOO cute! Later we went over to Grandma Jones's to spend some time with the family and then had Christmas dinner back at our house with both Grandma's (while Jacob was sleeping because he had to work later!). Overall, it was a great day and the girls had a lot of fun!

Christmas Eve!
Every year for Christmas Eve we go to MaryBeth and Nathan's house for a YUMMY dinner of brisket and cinnamon rolls. (One of my favorite Christmas treats!!) Then, we come home and dad reads the girls Luke 2 and "The Night Before Christmas" in their new Christmas pajamas! This year was the first year that we also made cookies to leave out for Santa. Fun, fun, fun!

Christmas Activities!
We really enjoyed the Christmas season this year. It was very hectic for us, and we didn't have time to do everything we wanted, but we did do some fun things together! Here are a few of them:
1. Christmas at Disneyland
2. Festival of Lights at the Mission Inn
3. Checking out the Christmas lights in Chino (no pics of that one!)
4. Making Christmas cookies
5. Making gingerbread houses

Temples Around the World - San Diego Temple
Next stop on our tour of the temples is the San Diego temple! This time we took our niece Rylee with us and they had a blast! It was a lot of fun to walk around and look at some of the nativity scenes that they had there. My favorite picture is the girls kneeling at baby Jesus - so cute!! I also got to go inside and do some temple work because I had never been inside before and it was so beautiful. I would love to go back there again.

Emma's Preschool Program
Emma had a wonderful preschool program this year. It was seriously so cute!!! Their teacher Miss Heather trained them so well. They were able to sing different songs, play different instruments (and put them down at the right time!) and they were even able to grab hands and walk in a circle and then get back in line again. That is pretty awesome for 3 and 4 year olds. Emma did such a great job and we were so proud of her. She sang all of the songs and did all of the hand movements and SMILED so much! She gets to have preschool with her two cousins so Rylee is next to her the whole time. They have a lot of fun together!

Daddy turns 29!!
We celebrated Daddy's 29th birthday. He is pretty easy to please with french toast for breakfast, some presents, roast for dinner and a yummy ice cream cake for dessert. The girls were very excited to bring him breakfast in bed and to show him the cards they made and the presents we got him. And of course they helped him open the presents. Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Bock Christmas Extravaganza #3
Bock Family Christmas Party
We celebrated another Bock family Christmas party this year at the Bown home and we had a lot of fun. I think the girls especially enjoy it every year because they have so many cousins to play with! We had a yummy ham dinner and did a gift exchange. This is the second year that we have done an adult white elephant gift exchange and it didn't disappoint. The highlights were the Christmas Story leg lamp nightlight, the signed underwear, and the picture of Keith's face. Gotta love family parties!
