Mother's Day 2011

Mother's Day this year was especially great! Every year it is a little difficult because of Jacob's work schedule. He comes home in the morning and then needs to sleep before going back to work that night so he is only up for a few hours on Mother's day. So instead of leaving it at that, he decided to celebrate a whole week of Mother's Day! It was awesome! I got a whole week of pampering that included: cupcakes from my favorite cupcake shop, cheesecake, massages, beautiful cards, dinner made for me and plenty of relaxation! Thank you hubby!!

Visit with the Cliff Family

Every year we get the change to visit with a family from Jacob's mission when they come down to Palm Springs. They stay at a really nice resort and we get to go and enjoy it for a day! Here is a list of our usual schedule:
1. Arrive and talk for awhile
2. Go swimming in a wonderful pool
3. Barbeque something yummy
4. Eat dinner
5. Play with the ducks
6. Go for a ride on the golf carts around the resort
7. Stop at all scenic places and take pictures
8. Go back to the condo and chat for awhile
9. Go home

Emma and Maddie both love the ducks and the golf carts. Emma always goes with Grandma and Grandpa Cliff (as we like to call them since they don't have any grandkids yet!) and she loves it. We always enjoy our visits to see the Cliff family!

Maddie's First Haircut

The time has finally come for Maddie's first haircut. I have been so against it because she hardly has any hair but she does have a pretty good mullet in the back that people keep commenting on. So we figured it was time to finally get rid of it. Our friends, The Cliff's, own a hair salon so we thought she would like to cut Maddie's hair on her vacation! Needless to say, Maddie didn't love it. But what good is a first haircut without some nice pictures of a screaming child??

Easter 2011

I love Easter!! I love giving the girls their baskets and seeing the excitement on their faces!! They each got a little candy, a couple of books and a movie. We also did an Easter egg hunt in the house when Daddy got home from work. We video taped it and it was hilarious to watch. Emma got the idea right away but it took Maddie a few minutes. When she finally caught on, she was pretty excited to find all of the eggs. Then they got to count all of the eggs (they love to count!) and see what was inside. After church, we spent Easter at my mom's house with family and yummy food!
