Decorating the Christmas Tree

Decorating the Christmas tree is always one of our favorite traditions. I hand out the ornaments to the girls, let them place them on the tree, and then I go around and move where they just put the ornament so that its how I like it! They don't seem to notice but I am sure one of these years they will. Daddy always lets each girl try to put the star on top of the tree and then he places it on top for good. I love that we get to be a family and do this together every year!

6 year Anniversary!

This year Jacob and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary! As always, we headed down to the Santa Monica pier where we had our first date and where Jacob proposed to me. This year was extra special because Jacob "re-proposed" to me with a new ring. I have been wanting a new ring that would be easier to wear as a mother and so he took me on the beach at sunset at the same place as the first time and proposed to me again. I loved it! We had Makenna with us this time but she is such a good baby that it was no problem.

Maddie and Emma

I can't tell you how different these two girls are! They make us laugh every single day! Just the other day, Emma and Maddie were in the bathtub when Emma thought she saw a spider. Of course my 4 year old Emma screamed and backed away, and my 2 year old Maddie said, "Don't worry Emma. I'll get the spider". She then proceeded to pat Emma's head and then walk over to smash the spider. What characters they are! Here are some pictures of me trying to get the girls to scoot closer together to get some pictures. Emma scooted right on over while Maddie wouldn't have any of it! I feel like these pictures tell the story of their personalities!

Makenna's Blessing

This past Sunday we were able to bless Makenna. I always love having all of our family there to celebrate the arrival and blessing of a new little one. The blessing was wonderful and the spirit there was so strong. I am so blessed to be a member of this church where my family can be sealed together forever! Thank you to everyone who came to share this day with us!

Halloween 2011!

This year we had a lot of fun dressing up for Halloween. We went as three princesses, Prince Charming and the Evil Queen. We went to our Ward Trunk-or-Treat and had a lot of fun with our church friends getting candy. Then we went trick-or-treating with all of our cousins. It was a lot of fun this year! Emma also got to dress up for preschool and do a little costume parade. All of the little kids we so cute in their costumes - and quite hilarious too!

Temples Around the World - Newport Temple

Next stop - Newport Temple! This time, Grandma Bock came with us so mom and dad could actually go inside and enjoy the temple! The girls loved running around the grounds and talking to everybody who went inside. I hope they grow up to love the temple from these trips!
