Emma had her open house at school this week and it was a lot of fun to be able to go as a family. I get to volunteer in her classroom every week so I get to see what's going on but Jacob never does so he really enjoyed it. Emma had a list of things to go around and show us in her classroom and they also performed a song. Her teacher did an amazing job with her this year!

Emma's first school project
Emma brought home her very first school project assignment. She had to pick an insect to write about and then create a diorama of that insect in it's habitat. Jacob, Emma and I all worked together to get this done and we had a lot of fun doing it!
Mother's Day!
This year was one of my favorite Mother's Day ever! First off, Jacob was able to be home with me all day which I hardly every get because of his work schedule. He even got to go to church with us! Then, I got the best presents from my girls because they were homemade. Emma made me a cute picture frame with her picture in it and a wonderful card. And Maddie made me a beautiful bracelet with a wonderful card as well. But my favorite part of the day was reading what Maddie put in the card. On Saturday, Maddie randomly asked me what my favorite dessert was. I told her anything chocolate. She replied with, "Oh man! I thought it was chicken!" I started laughing but thought that was the end of it. When I opened the card she made me at preschool, I started laughing again. She had to answer questions about me and one of them was "What is your mom's favorite dessert?" Her answer? Chicken!

Lincoln's Blessing
This past Sunday we were able to have Lincoln blessed at church. As always, it was a wonderful experience and we were so happy that our friends and family were able to be with us for it. Jacob will kill me for saying this, but I have to add in that Jacob accidentally called Lincoln "Jacob" and had to correct himself. I just want to remember that because it made me laugh because Lincoln really is a mini "Jacob". (By the way, that scowl is always there and I love it!)
No training wheels!
Maddie has ditched the training wheels and is officially riding a bike like a big girl! Shout out to uncle Keith whose training method is awesome!

Easter Block Party
We live on a really great street and we absolutely love all of our neighbors. We even have block parties!! This is from our Easter block party. Tessa (one of our friends who works for Brookfield) did an amazing job putting it together. There was a ton of food, an Easter egg hunt, crafts for the kids, facepainting and even a proposal! Here are some cute pics of my girls.
