Swimming Lessons
Now that Makenna has her ear tubes removed, she is finally able to start swimming lessons. She has only had a few lessons but is already making huge improvements. She used to hate swimming but now looks forward to lessons every week.

First Day of School!
First Day of School!! Emma is entering 4th grade with Mr. Pearson, Madison is entering 2nd grade with Mrs. Menasco, and Makenna is starting Kindergarten with Mrs. Easterly and Mrs. Cunningham.

Makenna Turns 5!
Makenna turned 5 this week and we had a wonderful party with friends and family. Here are ten things about Makenna now:
1. She still LOVES pigs. And Peppa Pig has become a new favorite.
2. She is still so shy! She won't talk to new people and it takes her a very long time before she will get used to you and talk to you.
3. She is our loudest child. As shy as she is with others, she is quite the opposite at home!
4. She loves to cuddle and says such sweet things about her mom and dad all the time. "Mommy, you are so beautiful!
5. She will cry frantically if you leave the house without saying goodbye to her.
6. We have a funny thing at night where she likes you to give her kisses and hugs. But they are all "air" kisses and hugs.
7. She started Kindergarten this year and loves school so far. She is in the same class as our neighbor Tatum and they are so happy!
8. She likes to "mother" Lincoln. She cares for him and yells at him when he does something wrong.
9. Her favorite breakfast is part of a chocolate muffin (Daddy's favorite) and a gogurt.
10. She is very particular about certain things. It's hard to explain but she likes things to be a certain way and she is not happy until it is just right!

New Job with Inspire
I am excited to begin a new career with Inspire Charter Schools. We had our staff retreat in Palm Springs and Amy and I laughed that one of the restaurants at the hotel was named CAVA. So naturally, we ate there!

Moving Grandma Jones
Well the day has finally come! Grandma Jones has officially moved out of her house and into a retirement community near me. I got to drive one of the uhauls which was a first for me and one that I don't want to do again! It was hard to leave our childhood home but we are thankful we found a wonderful place for Grandma!
