Maddie's First Haircut

The time has finally come for Maddie's first haircut. I have been so against it because she hardly has any hair but she does have a pretty good mullet in the back that people keep commenting on. So we figured it was time to finally get rid of it. Our friends, The Cliff's, own a hair salon so we thought she would like to cut Maddie's hair on her vacation! Needless to say, Maddie didn't love it. But what good is a first haircut without some nice pictures of a screaming child??

Easter 2011

I love Easter!! I love giving the girls their baskets and seeing the excitement on their faces!! They each got a little candy, a couple of books and a movie. We also did an Easter egg hunt in the house when Daddy got home from work. We video taped it and it was hilarious to watch. Emma got the idea right away but it took Maddie a few minutes. When she finally caught on, she was pretty excited to find all of the eggs. Then they got to count all of the eggs (they love to count!) and see what was inside. After church, we spent Easter at my mom's house with family and yummy food!

Youth Conference 2011

This is the third year that we have done Youth Conference with our stake and it never disappoints! We had amazing girls again this year and had a lot of fun. Our stake decided to do Book of Mormon trek where the girls had to hike a 12 MILE HIKE!! (Being pregnant, I didn't even try to go on the hike!) It was difficult but they liked it a lot because all along the way they had visits from Book of Mormon characters. The best visit took place the next morning (we camped out) right at sunrise where an actor portrayed Jesus coming to the Americas. It was really amazing to see and something we will all remember. We love doing Youth Conference and hope to continue every year!

St. George Trip

In April, we took a family vacation to St. George to visit one of Jacob's good friends and previous mission companion, Jacob Prince and his wife Jessica. We had so much fun! Here are a few pictures of things we did while we were there.

Right by the temple is a really cool area that the locals call the splash pad. We would sit and eat lunch there everyday and then the girls got to run around and play in the cool water area. They had little streams that they could run and and rocks to play on. It was free and so much fun!!
We also got to visit the St. George temple. We have a goal in mind to try and take pictures in front of as many temples as we can!
We also got to go and visit Zion National Park. Since I was pregnant, and Maddie had a fever, we couldn't do a lot of hiking but we did get to do one hike to the Emerald Pools. Its a beautiful hike that ends at the Emerald Pools and a waterfall. It was going great until the winds changed and soaked all of us!

This is the home that Brigham Young stayed in during the winter months. It was really cool to see where he used to live and everything that was in his house!

We also got to visit a dinosaur museum where they pretty much just enclosed a piece of the mountain that had dinosaur tracks in it. It was fascinating to see all of the different tracks that were there. I was hoping the girls would like it more but it was me that got the most excited!

LA Zoo

I have been wanting to take the girls to the zoo for awhile now so we were finally able to go. They loved it! The favorite animal of the day was by far the elephant. They both also really loved the monkeys and the lions. I can't wait to go back again!

It's a ........

GIRL!! Of course....we didn't doubt much that it would probably be a girl again. But we are thrilled to add another addition to the family. Jacob is just going to have to get used to being outnumbered! I am sure they will all be Daddy's little girls! Her name will be Makenna Elizabeth Bock.

First Trimester is Over!!

Well, I have nothing to show for the rest of Feb. or March. All I can say is Thank Goodness the first trimester is over!! I have been exhausted! Everyone always says that three kids is a whole new game where you can no longer play one on one but you have to start playing a zone. Well they are right! The baby is not even here yet and already we feel tired and outnumbered! Hopefully we can get back into the swing of things soon!
